Living the Questions

"I want to beg you, as much as I can, dear sir, to be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. "

And the point is, to live everything.

Live the questions now.

Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

Oh sweet life, sometimes there are indeed too many questions leaving us paralyzed to continue our journey with an upright posture & a bright smile. All these why’s and how’s that are desperately longing for an answer. Instead of allowing each seed to blossom when its time has ripened, we often apply forces that are against our nature while destructing her harmonic cycle. Still each of us has been given the wonderful invitation to join a voyage that we don’t know how to approach unless we trust its own unfolding to constantly cross into new ground. A script that hasn’t been written yet, a story we haven’t dared to set a foot and a glance towards its direction.

Which constantly invites us to walk towards the unknown from a well deep inside ourselves. From a source of hope, trust and unconditional love for all living beings. For all that is. Though in times of insecurity there is one question that keeps on pressing on our chest.

What will I encounter on the other side?

Can we ourselves find the strengths and the trust to approach life exactly from that space, despite the pain, fear & sadness that we are encountering in the physical realm?

Wouldn't that be the most profound transmutation? Allowing these darker spheres to function as an accelerator, to find confidence in each step, knowing freedom lies on the other side. To do something very radical in a world that has closed its heart and is trapped by fear.

While returning love to non love ~ Imagine what we could create?

This is the realm that provides the ground for the seed to grow into a tree and eventually into a forest, for the butterfly to step out of her cocoon and the dragonfly nymph to receive her wings. The natural cycle of life. A cosmic journey that thrives through its impermanence and constant metamorphosis. Contraction followed by expansion, that is what allows the surfer to ride the wave, the singer to sing, the writer to write, the bird to fly. Lifting us stage by stage to wider spaces as Hesse writes beautifully in his name like poem. We are currently in a cycle of contraction which will naturally lead to expansion. An opening we cannot grasp yet in terms of our own imagination while trying to understand life's own mystery. This inner journey though inflames a sense of insecurity deep inside ourselves, nevertheless it is the source of hold. It is the place where all these questions rise to the surface, questions, we are as Rilke says, invited to live. A global stillness in the meantime inspires to discover what already lies inside. Crisis always encourages to embrace what is given. This is the pathway of the water, steered by its softness and intuition.

And deep inside we know.

We are being reminded of the invisible net that spreads around the globe and connects us with our world family of all living beings. Ancient friendships that have been forgotten, but relations that are slowly rediscovered. The sisterhood with nature, the mountains, the lakes and the forests. A new definition of health and well-being, of community and daily living will be the result. The way how we live & work together, what we eat and teach will be the payoff of this transmutation if we allow to be guided by our trust in life. A journey whose compass shall be a total transparency towards all our actions. An embrace of self responsibility while deepening the understanding of the fractal nature of reality.

I remember vividly as a child while looking into the starry skies, yearning for answers. The space between us invited me to have an inward conversation and I realized it was up to me how I fill it. Waves of energy coming towards me and simultaneously leaving my body. What am I radiating & what am I attracting in each moment?

Isn’t that the kingdom of nature ~To receive and transmit life?

Do I dare to join its dance?

Our journeys constantly invite us to experience polarity and we have been finding ourselves in darker spheres for many centuries. A deep focus on the outside evolution made us crave to satisfy this inner hunger. Repeatedly we have been starving our souls while filling the void with heartless creations that won't ever nourish that deep void inside. That is why within this time lies an enormous potential for imagination. If we together open the message and receive it as a blessing, then all of a sudden this chapter is full of creativity, full of motivation to transform exactly what we are encountering. To create something that shines through our limitations.

While lying underneath the net of stars I felt safe and utterly in peace. And I remembered how their communal light evoked a sense of security that often I was hopelessly searching when my outer world seemed unstable. They softly invited me to change the conversation.

How are we filling the space between?

Do we allow the stars to be our guidance while discovering unknown territory from exactly that space of hope and trust.

With each word, each thought, each act we have the graceful opportunity to fill this space and choose either life & creation or be against it. Remembering each action is like a stone that is dropped into a still lake creating fractal waves patterns therefore affecting the whole.

Each of us has given the miraculous assignment to participate in this play as an alchemist. Guided by the element of fire. Not a flame that destructs life, but one that transforms it. One that has the ability to change all the other elements that exist. Isn't that why all other elements derive from its source? The ability to merge with what comes towards it.

Live the questions now, to one day live gradually into the answer.

I have been carrying this sentence with me for many years on my own journey into the great unknown. A voyage that is ever changing and unfolding in unexpected ways, opening doors while closing others, broadening horizons in ways I never dared to imagine. It invites to walk towards the veil with a profound trust in life to leave all what has served behind. Without regrets but with gratitude towards what has been experienced. To not force what is desired, but be open for what is in front of me. The beauty of letting go shall be the beginning in the end while the wheel of fortune keeps on turning.

Let them vanish completely, to be empty & still. And within that space create something that has never touched earthly ground. Forces descending, in order for forces to ascend. That is the natural cosmic dance. And again it invites the question, what am I radiating?

While living the questions we are constantly encouraged to trust that the road will provide without wrapping our head too much about how to get to our destiny. Eventually letting plans subside and flow with a new direction, with the natural path that is already been carved for us. Allowing life to surprise us with roads we never thought were possible, stories we never dared to write, crossing thresholds we never thought existed while knowing there is a net of stars that always holds us especially when walking on thin spaces.

Imagine to trust everything. Trust whatever comes towards you, knowing it is and has to be part of your journey. Wouldn't that provide utmost ease and peace within each given moment?

What an incredible amount of energy that is being freed through this radical act of renewal.

In any darkness lies a gift. Sometimes it needs discomfort to allow changes to unfold. To shake what has become rigid. Like a silky ribbon wrapping itself around our torsos, until it is getting harder to breathe, it keeps on applying pressure. Myself included, I often resisted change until all my energy has been used up, until I broke down and couldn’t find the strengths to put the fragments together. Only then, I allowed myself to be lowered into the stream and gently accept the direction where life is taking me in a natural, harmonic way. The more I trust this gentle unfolding, the more it flows, the less it hurts.

What if we dared to encounter whatever is, as something that is happening for us? Something we created long time ago. In order to stop the conversation we are having to expand and move on from what we have outlived. Wouldn’t this change the whole scenario? Alchemizing tear drops into smiles. A broken body into an upright posture. A shallow into a deep breath. A closed heart into an open one, resistance into softness & finally fear into trust? What if there was no other and most of all no enemy to fight against? That's true self empowerment, isn't it? A grand invitation for all living beings on this planet to evolve and embrace life together. Without judgement. Guided by profound gratitude upon life's invitation to allow us to explore what we could never imagine? One graceful bow towards all the questions could unite those fragments gently together while igniting a candle light to see the world with different eyes.

While breathing slowly I look up into the sky and the stars invite me once again to have a beautiful conversation. To remind me of that place inside of myself that is hopeful and shines selflessly even in the darkest nights. To be of service to the whole, isn't that why we came here in the first place?

Let's walk together towards the great unknown from a place of heart. From all the thresholds I had crossed in my own life, I remember ~ we won't ever look back.
